Book stores only what it needs to run your booking page. Here is what it stores, and for how long.
What Book stores about your page
Your name, your email, what people book, the description, your hours, your time zone, your page address and the settings for notice, days ahead and breaks.
If you add a pay link or a calendar address, Book stores them too.
What Book stores about a booking
The name and the email of the guest, the note, the time of the booking and the time zone of the guest.
Book shows these to the host of the page and to the guest. It shows them to nobody else.
For how long
Book deletes a booking 30 days after its time. A page that you did not turn on is deleted after 7 days. When you delete a page, Book deletes it and its bookings at once.
Your calendar address
Book uses the address only to read the busy times of your calendar. It does not change your calendar. Book stores the address so it can read it again. It keeps the busy times for 5 minutes.
The address is secret. Remove it in the settings of your page when you do not want Book to read your calendar.
Emails
Book sends emails with Cloudflare Email Service: the link to manage your page, and the confirmation or the cancel notice of a booking. Each email has a calendar file.
Book sends no other email. It sends no news and no ads.
Links with a secret
The link to manage a page and the link of a booking have a secret after the # sign. Your browser does not send this part in the address. The page sends it in a header. Book stores only a hash of it, so it cannot read your link back.
Cookies and other sites
Book sets no cookie and shows no ads. Your browser loads nothing from another site. If the page breaks, it sends a short error report to Book. The report has no name, no email and no address of a person.
